We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced HGV 1 (Class 1) Driver to join our team on a 4on / 4off day shift pattern. This is a varied role that includes Class 1 driving and the use of Counterbalance FLT.
Your working week will be rotating shifts of 4 days on 4 days off, 05:00 to 17:00. The position will report to the Depot/ Warehouse Manager.
The successful candidate will be required to complete the HGV1 driving duties.
The salary for this position is £37,903 per annum (inc bonuses), that’s made up of;
Basic £33,068 per annum
Bonuses £4,836 per annum
Hours of Work: 05:00 to 17:00 – 4on 4off
12hr days
Duration: Permanent
Duties will include but are not limited too;
Carry out Class 1 driving safely and effectively on-site and between locations as required.
Return of any Backloads from customers to the Wrexham-based warehouse
Complete relevant paperwork and ensure compliance with health & safety and company procedures
Liaising with customers to build effective relationships, meet their requirements and maintain effective communication
Work closely with the transport and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations
Perform vehicle checks and report any defects or issues immediately.
Desired Skills, Required Skills and Abilities:
Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
A clean driving record (with no more than 6 penalty points on the licence)
Good understanding of road safety regulations and compliance requirements
Digital Tachograph card and CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification
